GLOBAL ACCESS
Since
so many people want to stay up to date on key AIDS issues, but don't
have time to sort through and read dozens (hundreds?) of emails in order
to keep up, Health GAP is planning to start a new program called Global
ACCESS* to help bridge the gap between a desire to help fight
AIDS at home and abroad and the knowledge, opportunity, and skills base
to take action.
This will be done in a few ways:
- Monthly conference calls on specific AIDS issues or skills to win campaigns, where you will have the chance to learn and ask questions from experts in their field
- Regular opportunities to take action on key campaigns
- This program will be expanding over the next year as well, with other ways to stay involved and up to date, including a communications fellowship for new leaders who are looking to make their mark.

Also,
please feel free to pass the word to friends and allies who may also
be interested. Anyone is welcome to join, from veteran activists and
professionals to people who want to know more about how they can help
fight AIDS, but just aren't sure how to help.
* ACCESS currently stands for AIDS Coalition for Civic Engagement and
Smart Solutions, although if you have a better suggestion for what it
could stand for, let us know!
